Have you ever heard of a crew so sweet, they’re named after snacks? 🍭 That’s The Snak Pak! Each of my twelve grandchildren inspired a character, and their nicknames came from cravings I had before they were born. Every name holds a memory. Every child has a flavor all their own.
There’s Hun Bun, the cheerful firstborn. Twynk, tall and smart. Cheeze Puff, polite and playful. Alma Joy, our glamorous diva. Kiki Kat, the curious learner. Snick Snack, the football-loving foodie. Kandy, our little daddy’s girl. Chipp, the dinosaur expert. Mr. Goode Bar, Grandma’s cowboy, Poppy Korn, the sassy toddler, Soozie Que, our sweet teen role model.
And last but not least — Kookie. She’s the baby of the bunch, dearly loved by her mommy and Alma Joy. Born after a journey of hope, Kookie is proof that miracles are real.
Stay tuned to meet each character in their own story, rhyme, and adventure. This isn’t just another book or download — it’s a legacy.

Why I Chose the Name Ma-Ti
When you see my books, you’ll often notice the name Ma-Ti. Some people ask where it comes from, and until now, that answer wasn’t easy to find online. Today, I want to share the story.
Over 13 years ago, when my daughter was carrying my first grandchild, Hun-Bun, I wanted a unique name for my grandchildren to call me. Something different from grandma, nana, or granny — something that felt like me.
So I created Ma-Ti.
- “Ma” is short for mama.
- “Ti” comes from my lifelong nickname, Tina.
It stuck with some of my grandkids (though not all 😉), and it became a special little piece of my identity as a grandmother. Over time, that name grew with me, carrying meaning, love, and legacy.
When I began writing books — for my grandchildren, for children everywhere, and for anyone walking a healing journey — Ma-Ti was the only name that truly fit. It represents family, love, and the bond that started this entire journey.
So now, when you see Ma-Ti on my books, know that it started as a grandmother’s nickname — and became the heart of my author name.
💛 With love,
Melissa A. Frazier (Ma-Ti)
The Story Behind Mama Tired
If you’ve seen my journals, affirmation cards, or future products, you’ve probably noticed the name Mama Tired. It’s a phrase that always makes people smile and nod — but it has a very real story behind it.
Years ago, when my children wanted to go out and asked me to babysit, I would tell them the same thing every time:
“No… mama tired.”
It started as my way of setting boundaries, of saying “not tonight,” but it quickly turned into a running family joke. Over time, those two little words became a phrase that summed up so much of my life: the exhaustion of motherhood, the responsibility, the love, and the determination to keep going even when you’re worn out.
Now, Mama Tired is more than just a phrase — it’s a brand. It represents every mother who’s ever felt stretched thin, every woman who keeps pushing forward despite the weight she carries. It’s about laughter, resilience, and honesty.
So when you see Mama Tired on a journal, a shirt, or a set of affirmation cards, know that it was born out of real life — from the voice of a mother who was tired but still trying.
💛 With love & truth,
Melissa A. Frazier (Ma-Ti)

Thank You for Supporting The Snak Pak Legacies
This past weekend was such a special moment for me and my business, The Snak Pak Legacies.
I had the opportunity to participate in a local literary escape in Morven, NC, where I was able to meet families, connect with members of the community, and share the books and learning resources I’ve worked so hard to create. Seeing children smile while flipping through the pages, hearing parents talk about the importance of learning materials that feel fun and relatable, and receiving so much encouragement truly meant the world to me. I arrived at the event with 12 children’s books and returned home with only 3 left. I also sold some older inventory and was able to make a profit while spreading awareness about my brand. More importantly, I walked away reminded that this vision matters.
The Snak Pak Legacies was created with love, legacy, learning, healing, and representation in mind. What started as an idea inspired by family and future generations continues to grow into something much bigger than I imagined. The event also taught me a few important things:
- The community is interested in educational and meaningful books
- Parents appreciate interactive learning tools for children
- Clear website navigation and shopping access matter
- Business cards disappear quickly at live events!
I’m continuing to improve the website and overall shopping experience to make it easier for visitors to explore both:
- Shop Snak Pak Lane (children’s books & learning products)
- Shop Legacy Lane (journals, healing books & encouragement)
I’m also excited to announce that I’ll be participating in another community event next Saturday! May 30th 2026, The Caraway Family will be hosting a FREE flea market beside the Caraway Center and Aville Elementary School, 10 am. This event will be completely free and focused on connecting with families and the community. I’ll have coloring pages, crayons, candy for the kids, and business information.
To everyone who supported, shared, purchased, encouraged, or stopped last week to say hello — thank you. Your support truly helps small businesses like mine continue to grow.
